Phantom Forces: New Steel Update - New Maps, Guns, and A New Game Mode

Phantom Forces | Home Screen | For Gamers Like Me
Phantom Forces has been one of the most popular games on Roblox for a long time, but they recently updated just about everything. They re-balanced the gun physics to make using heavier weapons more fair, and redid the carbines to make using them faster-paced. They are still working on revamping some of the older maps, but the release of those has been pushed back. They added a new map, called Rig (pictured below). It is much smaller than the other maps, meaning using a long-range weapon is hard to do. There are three floors on the map . . . the first and second floors, and the buildings and bridges above.

The new game mode is called Kill Confirmed. It's like death match. You have to kill your opponents, but to count the kill for your team you need to walk over the dropped gun of the person you shot. They also added 3 new WW2 guns to the PDW section. I have not unlocked them yet, so I cannot say they are good, but I have died as a result of them a lot. You also can now vote for the next map, and the next game mode.

This update brings a lot to Phantom Forces, and I look forward the map revamps.

Why I Pre-Ordered Forza Horizon 4

This October, Forza Horizon 4 will be released. I pre-ordered it on my Xbox for a few reasons. I really liked the open world of the last game and how large the map was. There was so much to do, and each experience was different from the other because all of the locations were different. There was enough races to keep you entertained for hours. I look forward to having that kind of freedom and having that much to do again.

Off-roading is another reason that I want this game, not many other games have this much off-road content. The Forza Motorsport series did not have it. Need For Speed Payback and The Crew 2 did have some, but the amount of off-road races in FH4 are in the double digits.

Another major reason I pre-ordered this game are the seasons. There are fluid seasons that advance while you play the game, so there is a lake in the summer but an ice rink in the winter. This also affects what tires work when, and what it's like to race during that season.

You can also buy houses to walk around and park your cars in. You can walk around other player's houses in multiplayer and see their garages. This means that you can also customize your character beyond their faces. You can get suits or shorts or neon purple chicken suits.

You can pre-order Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate Edition. Standard comes with the game and the formula drift car pack. Deluxe comes with the formula drift car pack and the car pass. Ultimate edition, which is what I opted for, comes with both upcoming expansions, the car pass, the formula drift car pack, VIP and the day one pack.

This game has so much more to offer than the already amazing FH3, and I definitely would recommend pre-ordering it.

Star Wars The Old Republic - A MMORPG With Everything You Could Ask For

SWTOR | Character Select | For Gamers Like Me
Star Wars The Old Republic is a free MMORPG with so much content that it keeps me coming back to it even after I finish a character or complete an expansion. You can pick eight different class stories, each with three unique chapters. Then there are four expansions, that are free, that you can complete. The classes each have two sub classes. The sub classes each focus on damage, tanking or healing. Most of the sub classes are damage-based. They make a difference in how you play, with different light sabers or more abilities of one type.

There are many planets to explore, such as Tatooine or Coruscant. Once you beat the second planet and earn a ship, you can go to any one of the planets that you want or need to go to. Each planet has a map you uncover as you explore, and different areas involving different quests. Each planet is different and has different enemies. Cities have thugs and criminals, deserts have sand people and animals, and jungles have giant beasts.

SWTOR | Combat | For Gamers Like Me
The combat in this game is much like other MMORPGs but it is a little different because some moves combo with other moves and take less time to use. Another important aspect of combat is your companion. You can set your companion to Heal, Tank, or deal Damage.

I'd highly recommend this game to anyone who likes World of Warcraft or is a fan of Star Wars.
