Forza Horizon 4 has 2 expansions to buy and play,
Fortune Island and
LEGO Speed Champions.
Fortune Island was the first expansion to be released, having been released on December 13th. This expansion includes a brand new map, with a viking beach and twisting cliff side roads. It also has a new story, bringing riddles and prizes every influence milestone you reach. After you solve a riddle, a photo appears on your map, showing the treasure chest at its location. Once you find the chest, you have to crash into it. Inside the chest is 1,000,000 credits, and it also might contain one of the new cars. This pack includes the
Lamborghini Urus,
BMW M5,
Ram Rebel TRX,
Koenigsegg CC8S,
Exomotive Exocet Off-Road,
Lamborghini Aventador J,
Saleen S5S Raptor,
Morris Minor II,
Funko F9, and the
Gymkhana 8 Ford Fiesta.
Fortune Island also brings new features to the game. With the expansion, Trailblazer Gates were introduced. Starting at the gate, you race to a destination without a set route. You have to do it in a certain amount of time to get 3 stars. This expansion also brought two new weather patterns available in Free Roam or in races: Aurora and thunderstorms. Aurora is only available at nighttime and lets you see the Northern Lights in the sky as you race. Thunderstorms bring harsh rain and lots of lightning to make driving harder and more dangerous. Combine the storms and the sheer cliff drops, and that creates a very exciting races.
Fortune Island is definitely my favorite of the two current expansions, because of the many new features and the new cars that were added.
